Incanto senza tempo

(…) Nature, silent only in Reggiani’s works, is inhabited by a spell difficult to decipher. In fact “metaphysics” wants to detach the painted “thing” from the real thing in order to isolate it. Just as this the artist wants to remove the animal from the natural world and set it in an artificially constructed space, abstract, geometric. The animal, rhinoceros or cheetah, like the islets on the horizon, with cluster woods or cypresses, is visible but unreachable.
Solitary and visionary, the artist must see his work as an act of resistance to the idea of verisimilitude.
The profound language of poetry is recognizable in his work.(…)
